Description : Summary :
The Plumbing Designer engages in facility system design for Plumbing systems. This includes fire sprinkler utility connections, plumbing sanitary waste and vent designs, domestic hot and cold-water designs, and other plumbing systems. Typical projects are in the Correctional, Institutional, and Municipal. This team member works directly in Revit and AutoCAD.
Duties Responsibilities :
- Applies knowledge of codes and construction industry to develop plumbing system designs.
- Design Piping and Plumbing systems in a team environment.
- Perform field investigations to determine existing conditions.
- Create schematic design reports and scope documents.
- Estimate cost of construction.
- Prepare construction documentation, including floorplan drawings, diagrams, equipment and fixture schedules, and specifications.
- Review contractor cost estimates and bid packages.
- Review construction submittals for compliance with contract documents.
- Other duties as assigned.
