RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supervises the clinical care planning and delivery processes to ensure the coordination of quality patient care.
- Assesses residents / clients upon admission and periodically as conditions change
- Performs rounds to evaluate patient condition
- Provides or assists with the delivery of direct patient care when indicated, including activities of daily living, meal assistance, medication and treatment administration, and leisure activities when indicated
- Obtains and implements Physician Orders, checking for accuracy and completeness
- Communicates between shifts regarding changes in resident / patient condition
- Provides clinical assessment to MD / NPs on call for quality outcomes delivered to patients
- Make daily rounds of the Nursing Services Department to ensure that all nursing service personnel are performing their work assignments in accordance with acceptable nursing standards.
- Report findings to the Director of Nursing Services
- Make appropriate reports to the Director of Nursing Services, as required or as may be necessary
