Job Title: Welder and Fabricator - Paying $25-$33/hr DOE

Job Description

Join our team as a Welder and Fabricator, specializing in the welding of custom stainless steel tanks of various sizes and shapes. This role requires expertise in both MIG and TIG welding processes, with a strong emphasis on stainless steel welding and high-cosmetic products. The ideal candidate will be proficient in full layout and blueprint reading, as well as basic fabrication tasks such as cutting pipe, and using equipment like drill presses and band saws.

SHIFTS:

• Days: 6a-4:30p (Mon-Thurs)
• Swing: 3p-1:30p (Mon-Thurs)
• OT required on Friday!!

Responsibilities

• Perform welding on custom stainless steel tanks using both MIG and TIG processes.
• Set up and operate welding equipment, adjusting voltage, amperage, and gas flow as needed.
• Inspect welds for defects such as cracks, porosity, and incomplete fusion, and make necessary repairs.
• Grind, polish, and finish welds to meet aesthetic and quality requirements.
• Operate overhead cranes, forklifts, and other material handling equipment.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and maintain a high standard of quality in all work.

Essential Skills

• Expertise in MIG and TIG welding, particularly in stainless steel fabrication.
• 2+ years of welding experience with an emphasis on stainless steel.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and welding symbols.
• Experience with custom fabrication and high cosmetic requirements.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in a custom fabrication shop focused on stainless steel is preferred.
• Ability to weld from all positions, including in tight and confined spaces.
• Physical ability to crawl, crouch, stand, stoop, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Familiarity with various types and grades of stainless steel.

Work Environment

Work in a dynamic workshop environment focused on creating custom stainless steel tanks for industries such as fuel, food, water processing, and alcohol fermentation. The shop is relatively clean but does have some metal dust. You will work alongside 15-20 other colleagues on the production floor, contributing to innovative and high-quality projects.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Spokane Valley, WA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
