About the Job
We’re looking for a skilled and experienced Inspector to join our Quality team. This role is hands-on and focused on dimensional inspections, first articles, and ensuring every part meets aerospace-level standards. You’ll work with both manual tools and advanced inspection equipment like CMMs and optical comparators.
What You’ll Do
Perform dimensional inspections on machined and assembled products
Use calipers, blade and depth micrometers, bore gages, optical comparators, and CMMs
Read blueprints, engineering drawings, and planning documents
Perform First Article Inspections (FAI) and create reports per AS9102
Conduct receiving, in-process, and final inspections
Inspect threads, bores, surface finishes, and overall part quality
Document results, discrepancies, and communicate issues clearly
Work with Production, Quality, and Engineering teams
Support quality improvement and R&D activities
Use software tools including 1Factory and MAP
What You Bring
1+ years of hands-on inspection experience (aerospace strongly preferred)
Advanced understanding of GD&T and blueprint reading
Comfortable operating manual and DCC CMMs (Preferred)
Familiarity with common inspection equipment and gage usage
Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
High school diploma or GED required; technical training or equivalent experience (preferred)
Physical Requirements
Able to stand, walk, reach, kneel, and crouch as needed
Lift and move up to 50 lbs regularly
Visual acuity for close inspection tasks
