Delivery Merchandiser

The Delivery Merchandiser is responsible for following a driver to merchandise retail accounts. This role is nonexempt and reports to the Delivery Manager.

Primary Objective

Fill, rotate, and merchandise products in cold vaults, shelves and displays

Excellent communication skills

The Delivery Merchandiser assumes other responsibilities as assigned by the Delivery Manager and Area Delivery Managers. These responsibilities and objectives include but are not limited to :

While performing the responsibilities of the Delivery Merchandiser, the employee is required to talk and hear. The employee is often required to sit and use their hands and fingers, to handle or feel. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, and to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee is required to lift a minimum weight of 50 pounds repeatedly throughout the course of the day. In addition, they are required to functionally lift and maneuver up to 165 pounds. with the assistance of a hand truck or lifting implement. While performing the responsibilities of the Delivery Merchandiser, these work environment characteristics are representative of the environment the Delivery Helper will encounter. While performing the duties of this job in the internal and external environment, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and vehicles. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to high. While performing duties of this job in the field environment, the employee will be exposed on a regular basis to moving mechanical parts, motor vehicles and traffic. In addition, the exposure while in customer locations cannot be projected. These conditions may vary, and the employee will receive adequate training to recognize and avoid hazards that cannot be described as expected. Noise levels will range from quiet to loud.
