Part-Time Position without Benefits Performs lifesaving skills, provides instructional swimming lessons to children and adults, and performs routine maintenance on pool and pool facilities. Monitors all activities within the pool facility. Maintains flexible schedule for rotation to various pool sites.

- Physically able to perform lifesaving skills, pool maintenance, record keeping, sanitation, and instruction.
- Must be able to perform swimming pool duties as required, such as:
1. Maintaining swimming pool facilities
2. Sanitation daily
3. Vacuuming
4. Filtration
5. Maintaining pool grounds indoor/outdoors
6. Other duties specified by the Aquatic Supervisor - Must be able to communicate and work well with others.
- Must be responsible, reliable, and prompt.
- Must be able to participate and attend workshops.
- Must establish and maintain an effective working relationship with co-workers and the general public.
- Assists in maintaining good communication between staff, visitors, and other business contacts.
- Must follow all rules of telephone courtesy in all telephone communications.
- Will be required to drive a City vehicle for City business use.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

- Lifeguard Certificate is required
- First Aid Certificate is required
- CPR for Pro Certificate is required
Valid Texas Driver License. If applicant holds an out-of-state license, a State of Texas Driver License must be obtained within 6 months of employment. As part of the minimum requirements for all positions with the City of Laredo, a thorough background check and certified school transcripts will be required from all applicants who are offered employment.
