Job Description :

L3Harris is looking for an Assembler to join our team. This person will contribute to the company's success by performing a wide variety of mechanical or electro-mechanical assembly operations on mechanical / electrical assemblies, sub-assemblies, or end products.

Essential Functions :

\n

  • Performs a variety of mechanical or electro-mechanical assembly operations on mechanical / electrical assemblies, sub-assemblies, or end products

\n

  • Able to follow verbal and written instruction maintaining a focus on quality

    • \n

  • Follows an engineering assembly process, but may require the ability to adjust, fit, or align parts

    • \n

  • Uses hand tools such as long nose pliers, screw drivers, soldering irons, and wrenches

    • \n

  • Maintains consistent quality and productivity levels

    • \n

  • Uses Microsoft Office programs

    • \n

  • Maintains neat and clean work area

    • \n

  • Identifies problems and contributes to process improvements

    • \n

  • Performs some hand soldering on electronic assemblies

    • \n

  • Willingness to learn and work in a fast-paced, flexible production state of the art environment

    • \n

  • Works as part of a team and collaborates to accomplish tasks

    • \n

  • Traversing across the production floor for the duration of their shift

    • \n

  • Able to transport up to 30 lbs

    • \n

  • Ability to obtain a secret clearance which requires US Citizenship

    • \n

  • Able to read and interpret mechanical / electrical drawings and Bills of Material

    • \n \n

    Qualifications :

  • Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post- Secondary / Associates Degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience.

    • \n

    Preferred Additional Skills :

    \n

  • Electrical background at the component level.

    • \n

  • Capable of identifying problems and contributing to process improvements through the L3Harris E3 continuous improvement process.

    • \n

  • J-STD-001, IPC-610.

    • \n

  • Mechanical or electrical assembly experience to include Soldering.
