A company is looking for a Protection Engineer who will ensure the safe and reliable performance of the power grid.
Key Responsibilities
Review and analyze protective relay settings to ensure compliance with NERC PRC standards
Model primary and secondary systems using power system simulation software
Perform system disturbance analysis and recommend modifications to protective relaying systems
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
5+ years of experience in P&C engineering for generation and / or transmission systems
Expertise in protective relay engineering, relay settings, and control logic
Knowledge of relay communications theory and testing practices
Familiarity with regulatory and standardizing bodies such as NPCC and IEEE
