Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Java Struts Lead with deep expertise in Java / J2EE technologies and hands-on leadership experience. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working with the Struts framework , strong architectural understanding, and the ability to guide teams through complex technical implementations. This role requires a proactive leader who can deliver high-quality solutions in fast-paced environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, development, and enhancement of enterprise-level applications using Java / J2EE and Struts framework .
  • Apply strong knowledge of MVC architecture , SOLID principles , and industry-standard design patterns to build scalable, maintainable solutions.
  • Develop high-quality front-end and back-end components using Java, JSP, Servlets, HTML, CSS, JavaScript , and related technologies.
  • Work with frameworks such as Hibernate, Spring, JQuery , and implement SOAP / RESTful web services for seamless integration.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, define technical solutions, and ensure successful project delivery.
  • Perform code reviews, guide best practices, and mentor junior developers to uplift technical standards.
  • Oversee performance optimization, debugging, and troubleshooting across the application stack.
  • Work with relational databases, write complex SQL queries, and ensure optimal database performance.
  • Utilize CI / CD tools such as Jenkins, Maven, Ant , and version control systems like Git or SVN .
  • Contribute to Agile ceremonies and ensure project alignment with Scrum / Kanban methodologies.
  • Provide technical leadership, communicate effectively with stakeholders, and take full ownership of deliverables.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 12+ years of hands-on experience in Java / J2EE development .
  • Strong expertise in the Struts framework and MVC-based architectures.
  • Proficiency in :

    • Java, JSP, Servlets

  • HTML, CSS, JavaScript
  • Hibernate, Spring, JQuery
  • SOAP & RESTful Web Services
  • Strong understanding of object-oriented design principles , SOLID , and design patterns.
  • Experience with relational databases and SQL.
  • Familiarity with CI / CD tools ( Jenkins, Maven, Ant ) and version control ( Git, SVN ).
  • Proven leadership abilities and experience mentoring or leading development teams.
  • Excellent communication, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to thrive independently in demanding, dynamic environments.
