Introduction

We are seeking a Technical Sales Engineer to work in close collaboration with the market area sales team providing technical support. We are looking for a candidate that has an engineering background with a passion to develop solutions and designs in response to sales opportunities primarily covering the Chute Solutions product line. In this position, you will report to our Engineering Manager.

Due to operational requirements this position will ideally be located in the United States within Denver, Mesa or Salt Lake City (Western Region) however we are happy to offer flexible working arrangements, including hybrid options for an exceptional candidate.

What you'll do

• Provide technical support to the sales team and develop solutions and design briefs.
• Accompany the sales team on site visits to understand customer challenges.
• Offer technical support for product selection, marketing, and training materials.
• Collaborate with the design team to create timely technical concept solutions.
• Design innovative solutions and perform 3D modeling for proposals and orders.
• Train and mentor junior employees within the organization.
• Recommend new product developments and optimize existing products for better performance and cost.

Who you are

• Ideally qualified Mechanical Engineer preferably with experience in bulk materials handling, mining associated design, fixed plant applications and load and haul solutions
• Design experience and ability to complete initial design scopes and modelling, ideally with Autodesk Inventor (or similar software)
• Valid Passport for international travel and driver's license for local travel
• Customer service mindset
• Critical analysis, ability to make decisions, commitment and flexibility
• Ability to collet data and information to make strategic analysis and recommendations
• High level of computer skills including MS Office Suite
• Ability to work in a multi-cultural and multi-language atmosphere
• Fluent verbal and written English and a second language would be a plus.
