Material Handler II
Our client, a leading manufacturing organization, is seeking a Material Handler II to join their team. As a Material Handler II, you will be part of the Logistics Department supporting production and shipping operations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate reliability, attention to detail, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.
Location: Hampton, VA
Pay Range: $20.00
Shift: 3pm-11pm (Monday through Friday, with the possibility of overtime)
What's the Job?
- Receive raw materials, tooling, and production castings, ensuring accurate documentation and inventory control.
- Prepare shipments to customers and vendors, including packing, labeling, and securing parts on pallets.
- Operate forklifts and other standard office equipment safely and efficiently.
- Support internal teams such as manufacturing, QA, and shared services by providing timely materials and information.
- Load and unload trucks, move materials within the facility, and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
What's Needed?
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Current forklift certification.
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and work procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and overtime as needed.
