Quantitative Trader

As a Quantitative Trader at Vatic Labs, you will research and develop innovative quantitative trading strategies. You will explore vast amounts of market data, applying advanced machine learning / AI methods and statistical approaches to discover and capitalize on trading opportunities. You will be a driver of alpha and original ideas, and will have the potential to own entire strategies and the trading of certain asset classes. You will have the freedom and responsibility to increase PnL both independently from, and combined with the quality of forecasts done by the QR team.

If you possess the following, we would love to explore what is available for you with our team :

• Earned or will earn an undergraduate or graduate degree in Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, or other relevant field from a top-tier university (focus on Game Theory or Behavioral Economics strongly preferred)
• Innate curiosity for understanding why and how the markets work
• Ability to design fast algorithms and optimize complex data-structures
• Experience analyzing large datasets with rigorous statistical and machine learning approaches, including classification, clustering, and regression
• Familiarity with Python, C++, or related compiled languages
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
• Understand how to prioritize and execute tasks varying in importance and urgency
• World-class performance in games that require strategic thinking such as chess, poker, and / or e-sports strongly preferred

The base salary range for this role is between $175,000 and $250,000. The base salary range does not include any other form of compensation, such as any bonus amounts, or any benefits. Factors that may impact the agreed upon base salary within the range for a particular candidate include years of experience, level of education obtained, skill set, and other factors.
