Essential Duties & Responsibilities Developing and maintaining web applications using JavaScript-based frameworks, particularly Angular (including Angular Material UI). While primarily a front-end role, some experience with server-side frameworks, particularly Java and JSP, is preferred as you'll occasionally overlap and back up our Senior Java Developer. Designing applications and refactoring code for optimal design, performance, modularization, and to eliminate redundancies. Commitment to code security and integrity, utilizing tools like GitHub code scanning and CodeQL to identify and remediate vulnerabilities. Required (Minimum Necessary) Qualifications Education Requirements: A bachelor’s degree is required Level of Experience Requirements: -5 years of experience in Front-End Web Development Ability to work independently with minimal oversight. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics Strong experience developing and maintaining web applications using JavaScript-based frameworks, particularly Angular (including Angular Material UI). Familiarity with other frameworks, such as React and Vue, is a plus. Experience with Docker (or similar) for local development, testing, and deployment to various application environments. Experience developing and maintaining applications in cloud environments, whether on Virtual Machines (VMs) or in containerized clusters. Experience with DevOps best practices, including: Writing and maintaining code using GitHub, including familiarity with branching strategies (e.g., GitFlow), release management, rebasing, and maintaining clean commit history. Working with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins or GitHub Actions) to create and maintain automated build and deployment processes Solid understanding of JavaScript, HTML, CSS, jQuery, and Bootstrap. Experience with service-oriented architecture and microservices, especially working with RESTful API services. You'll architect applications and refactor code for optimal design, performance, modularization, and to eliminate redundancies.
