Per Diem School Paraprofessional Opportunities – Los Angeles, CA

This role offers flexible, school-based paraprofessional positions providing critical support to students in public schools throughout Los Angeles. Ideal for compassionate individuals, these per diem assignments involve working 1:1 or in small groups within classroom settings to enhance academic, behavioral, and social outcomes for students.

Responsibilities:

  • Support students academically, behaviorally, and socially under teacher guidance
  • Provide individualized or small-group assistance aligned with lesson plans
  • Assist with daily routines, transitions, and classroom participation
  • Implement behavior support plans and adhere to Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Support mobility, supervision, and personal care needs as required
  • Maintain a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum age of 18 years
  • Current TB test per district requirements
  • Ability to stand, walk, and assist with lifting when necessary
  • Current clearances or willingness to obtain prior to starting
    Preferred Experience:
  • Background in special education, behavioral health, childcare, or school environment
  • Experience supporting students with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges
  • CPI, PMT, or RBT certification is an advantage but not required
  • Reliable, patient, and collaborative mindset
