HonorVet Technologies is seeking a local contract Pharmacist for a local contract job in New York, New York.

Job Title :  Pharmacist Level 1

Duration : 13 WEEKS

Shift : nights 4x10-Hour 10 PM - 8 AM or 3 : 30 PM - 11 : 30 PM

Location : New York, NY 10029

Job Description –

Responsibilities :

  • Prepare and dispense medications accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Provide comprehensive pharmacological guidance to the multidisciplinary healthcare team.
  • Monitor and evaluate patient drug therapies to ensure safety and therapeutic effectiveness.
  • Address inquiries related to formulary and non-formulary medications while adhering to established policies and procedures.
  • Offer clinical recommendations based on patient-specific factors such as age and pharmacokinetics, supported by current literature.
  • Conduct patient education on medication usage, including prescribed dosing, timing, potential side effects, and drug interactions, in alignment with departmental standards.

    • Education & Experience Requirements :

  • Graduate of an ACPE-accredited College of Pharmacy.
  • 0–2 years of experience as a licensed Pharmacist.

    • Additional Skills Required :

  • Chemotherapy preparation experience.
  • Ability to float across various units including Critical Care, Pediatrics, Oncology, Transplant, Medicine, and Cardiology.
  • Follow WIDGET notes for ongoing updates.
