Auto-Chlor System is hiring a Field Installation Technician to support new customer installations throughout the Minneapolis market. This role is responsible for installing commercial dishwashing equipment, ensuring proper setup, and training customers on correct operation.
You’ll work independently in the field, represent the company at customer locations, and play a key role in setting customers up for long-term success. This is a hands-on, technical role for someone who takes pride in quality work and ownership of results.
Compensation & Schedule:
- $27-$29/hr
- Typical work schedule averages 45 hours per week, plus on-call rotation.
- Overtime opportunities based on business needs.
- Estimated annual earnings of approximately $75,000 per year.
What you'll do:
- Install commercial dish machines at customer locations with a high level of workmanship and professionalism.
- Train customers on machine operation, maintenance expectations, and best practices after leaving each site.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring all debris is removed after installations.
- Prepare and stock your service vehicle with tools, parts, and supplies for scheduled installs and unexpected service needs.
- Communicate proactively with customers regarding delays, scheduling changes, or rescheduled appointments.
- Submit all required installation documentation to the branch team at the end of each workday.
- Address customer concerns and resolve issues in a timely, professional manner.
- Perform service calls as needed to support branch operations and complete additional tasks as assigned by management to support business needs.
Requirements:
- Valid driver’s license with a reasonably clean driving record.
- Mechanical and/or technical aptitude with comfort using hand tools.
- Ability to climb stairs at customer locations and company facilities.
- Ability to work independently while staying organized and accountable.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt in the field.
- Ownership mentality, reliability, and positive attitude.
Additional Details:
- Physically active role in fast-paced indoor and outdoor environments.
- Frequent driving throughout the Minneapolis region using a company vehicle.
- Regular handling of cleaning chemicals and equipment weighing up to 200 pounds.
- Ability to climb stairs at customer locations and company facilities.
- Company-provided uniform required daily, including proper footwear.
- Occasional travel for training may be required.
- May be required to obtain a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) and Hazmat endorsement depending on location.
