(INTERN) Junior Process Engineer

The Junior Process Engineer will focus on improving operational efficiency, maintaining high standards, and supporting safety and compliance within their assigned area : Printing, Logistics and Inventory, or Framing and Shipping. They will contribute to cost optimization, product quality, and continuous improvement efforts. This position is located in Miami Lakes. It is a full-time opportunity, 7 : 00 am - 3 : 30 pm Monday through Friday, with some overtime as required.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Process Optimization :

o Analyze and improve workflows to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.

o Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for assigned operations.

o Support product design and process development initiatives by providing engineering expertise.

2. Quality Assurance and Problem-Solving :

o Ensure operational processes meet quality standards and specifications.

o Identify defects or inefficiencies and collaborate with teams to implement corrective actions.

o Promote best practices for art handling and product preservation within operations.

3. Safety and Continuous Improvement :

o Implement and monitor workplace safety measures in collaboration with the safety management team.

o Drive lean initiatives, identifying opportunities to reduce waste and optimize processes.

o Conduct root cause analyses and facilitate continuous improvement projects.

4. Documentation and Reporting :

o Work closely with the Documentation and Support Specialist to ensure procedures, process improvements, and updates are accurately recorded.

o Maintain detailed records of improvements, findings, and actions for transparency and future reference.

Qualifications :

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in process improvement or a similar role.
• Knowledge of Lean methodologies, Six Sigma, or related tools is preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

1 Year experience as an INTERN is welcome in a production environment.
