Job Summary:
The Southwest Healthcare Regional office in Temecula, CA is seeking a on-site Full-Time who will be responsible for accurate preparation, documentation, and distribution of payroll via the payroll system for multiple facilities across the Region. Duties include but not limited to:
- Processes bi-weekly payroll with a high accuracy rate according to schedule. Thoroughly understands the Time and Attendance system, as well as the Payroll system.
- Processes special and termination checks when required and ensures that they are ready by the prescribed deadline and in accordance with state and federal laws.
- Process Payroll corrections including, but not limited to incorrect or missed swipes, badge issues, direct deposit rejections, lost checks and stop pays are processed by payroll.
- Reviewing the computation of pay and ensures the company payroll policies are in accordance with the government regulations.
- Responds to and resolves any inquiries regarding paychecks and payroll information.
- Responsible for setting up and managing agency garnishments according to the orders received.
- Audits payroll and tax information as needed.
Qualifications EDUCATION/TRAINING/ EXPERIENCE:
- High School Graduate or equivalent required.
- Associate's degree from an accredited College or University in related field preferred.
- Two (2) to Three (3) years of experience in payroll required, acute care experience preferred.
- Kronos experience preferred.
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES:
- Payroll Certification preferred.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Demonstrates knowledge and ensures compliance with the Joint Commission and Title standards and guidelines.
- Demonstrates compliance with Healthcare policies and procedures at all times.
- Ability to set priorities and appropriately organize workload and complete assignments in a timely manner.
- Demonstrates ability to relate to clinical personnel and medical staff, as well as ability to interact well with the public.
- Must have knowledge of PC and applications.
- Thorough knowledge of payroll procedures.
- Working knowledge of wage and hour laws for hospitals.
- Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
- Good communication skills.
- Must maintain confidentiality at all times.
- Demonstrates ability to maintain positive relationships and courteous interactions with hospital staff and the public.
- Must be able to use the following: SMS Computer, Personal Computer, Typewriter, Fax Machine, LaserJet Printer, and Electronic Printing Calculator.
