Responsibilities of the Associate Scientist :
- Conduct both standard and custom molecular assays in line with internal protocols and applicable quality guidelines.
- Perform nucleic acid extractions from a range of biological sources including preclinical, clinical, and exploratory sample types.
- Assist with the execution of immunoassays (ELISA) and cell-based analytical methods.
- Maintain accurate and complete laboratory records, including study documentation and experiment logs.
- Support recombinant DNA workflows, including construct assembly (e.g., Gibson Assembly, PCR, restriction digestion), plasmid purification, and in vitro transcription to generate positive assay materials.
Requirements of the Associate Scientist :
Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or a related scientific discipline with two or more years of research experience, industry experience highly preferred.Familiarity with qPCR and RT-qPCR.Comfortable with core molecular biology techniques such as PCR, DNA purification, and basic cloning workflows.Previous exposure to eukaryotic cell culture and sterile technique.Preferred Qualifications :
Mammalian cell line handling and expansion.Experience with digital droplet PCR (ddPCR) platforms.Proficiency with scientific software such as GraphPad Prism.
