Position Summary

Client is seeking a skilled Server and Network Administrator to support hybrid infrastructure operations across compute, storage, backup, and network systems. This role requires hands-on experience managing Windows and / or Linux servers, enterprise storage platforms, backup technologies, and network connectivity. The ideal professional will bring strong troubleshooting capabilities, automation skills, and experience maintaining reliable data center and network environments.

Key Responsibilities

Compute & Server Administration

Install, configure, monitor, and maintain Windows and Linux physical / virtual servers.

Apply routine system patches, updates, and security hardening.

Automate server deployment, configuration, and health monitoring processes.

Storage Management

Manage and optimize SAN, NAS, and direct-attached storage environments.

Monitor performance, capacity trends, and ensure high availability.

Oversee storage replication, snapshots, and disaster recovery preparedness.

Backup & Restore

Implement and manage backup strategies using Veeam, Commvault, or Veritas.

Validate backup integrity and perform restoration procedures.

Maintain documentation and execute periodic disaster recovery tests.

Network & Circuit Operations

Configure and troubleshoot LAN / WAN infrastructure, including routers, switches, and firewalls.

Monitor network performance and resolve capacity or connectivity issues proactively.

Provision and document new network circuits and data pathways.

Required Skills & Experience

Hands-on experience administering Windows and / or Linux server environments.

Proficiency with enterprise storage platforms (NetApp, Dell EMC, HPE).

Strong knowledge of backup solutions (Veeam, Commvault, Veritas).

Solid understanding of networking concepts : TCP / IP, VLANs, DNS, DHCP, routing, switching.

Experience with network circuit provisioning, capacity planning, and performance monitoring.

Scripting or automation experience (PowerShell, Bash, Python preferred).

Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.

Education & Certifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field or equivalent hands-on experience.
