Job Title :  CMM Programmer

Pay Range :   $26.00 – $31.00 / hour

Department :  Quality Control

Reports To :  Quality Manager

Type :  Full-Time

Hours per Week :  40+

Shift :  8 : 00 AM – 5 : 00 PM

Desired Start Date :  ASAP

Summary :

The CMM Programmer is responsible for programming, maintaining, and operating the Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) to ensure quality standards are met. This role includes inspecting incoming, in-process, and finished products, as well as documenting and reporting inspection results.

Key Responsibilities :

• Program, operate, and verify CMM using VeriSurf software
• Perform inspections using CMM and other precision tools (calipers, gauges, micrometers, etc.)
• Strong understanding and application of GD&T
• Conduct AS9102 First Article Inspections (FAIs) and generate reports
• Collaborate with Program Managers to provide inspection labor estimates, quotes, and lead times
• Work closely with production and program management teams to resolve quality issues
• Approve final inspection results per specified requirements
• Document inspection outcomes in internal QA systems, including FAIRs, AS9102, and PPAP reports
• Identify and document non-conforming materials and RMAs
• Support Root Cause Analysis and implement Corrective Actions
• Follow proper tool usage and maintenance guidelines
• Promote continuous learning and performance improvement within the QA team

Required Skills and Qualifications :

High School Diploma or equivalent with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience

Experience with CMM equipment and articulating arms

Proficient in VeriSurf software (highly preferred)

Strong knowledge of GD&T and blueprint reading

Familiarity with ISO9001 / AS9100D standards

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

Experience in a production or manufacturing setting

Must-Haves :

CMM programming experience (required)

Experience with VeriSurf software (strongly preferred; prioritize candidates with this experience)
