Exciting Navy Vehicle Technician Opportunity!!

Job Description

Performs a variety of duties in the electronic, mechanical, electromechanical, and / or optical areas. Constructs, troubleshoots, calibrates, adjusts, tests, diagnoses, and maintains equipment, components, devices, or systems. Works from schematics, engineering drawings and written or verbal instructions. Operates related equipment; conducts tests and reports data in prescribed format. Performs calibration and alignment checks; makes adjustments, modifications, and replacements as directed; prepares prescribed compounds and solutions. Exclude technicians working in production or quality assurance.

Your duties and responsibilities include the following :

• Perform integration, assembly, and test of new systems vehicles and auxiliary equipment from work instructions and assembly drawings
• Perform testing and troubleshooting with engineering and software development in order to identify and correct system level problems with vehicles and auxiliary equipment
• Must be able to read and understand diagnostic data
• Must be able to read and understand Technical schematics
• Must be able to setup and use test equipment including oscilloscopes, signal generators, and other input / output electronic test equipment
• Must be familiar with general computer operation
• Must be able to perform basic soldering
• Performs diversified duties to troubleshoot PWBA's, Assemblies and Modules
• Troubleshoot complex Analog and Digital circuits to the component level
• Make recommendations to improve current procedures and assist Manufacturing Engineering in implementing new procedures
• Work within limits of prescribed procedures to produce a sufficient quantity of working PWBA's, Assemblies or Modules to support the Master Production Schedule
• Discuss technical problems encountered while troubleshooting or testing with Engineering

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Pocasset, MA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $37.50 / hr.
