Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and assessments for individuals with mental health conditions.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with our interdisciplinary team.
• Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications according to best practices and state guidelines.
• Provide psychotherapy and counseling using evidence-based techniques.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
• Educate patients and families on mental health conditions, treatment options, and self-care strategies.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic care.
• Assist with Ketamine and Spravato® treatments as part of our clinic?s integrative offerings (training will be provided)
• We use IntakeQ as our EHR

Qualifications

• Master?s or Doctorate in Nursing with certification as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)
• or a Master?s degree and licensure as a Physician Assistant (PA-C) with psychiatric experience
• or a Board-certified Psychiatrist (MD/DO)

Additional requirements:

• Current licensure to practice in the state of Iowa
• Experience in psychiatry or mental health settings
• Interest in or experience with ketamine-assisted therapy (KAP) and/or functional medicine is preferred
• Proficiency in vital signs assessment, BLS, and ACLS a plus
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship (we cannot sponsor employment visas)

Job Details

• Job Type: Full-time
• Expected Hours: 20?40 hours per week
• Schedule: Primarily in-person, Monday?Friday, 9am?5pm (flexibility to work outside these hours if desired or longer days for a shorter week
• No on-call or weekends.
