Job Summary : Join Our Team as an Armed Security Officer

As an Armed Security Officer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the safety and security of our facilities. This position requires a proactive approach to security, establishing positive relationships with clients, local law enforcement, and emergency services. Your professional demeanor and excellent customer service skills will enhance the experience of all visitors and staff while you monitor activities and ensure a secure environment.

Basic Functions :

  • Control access points and manage pedestrian and vehicle traffic.
  • Conduct patrols of buildings and surrounding areas.
  • Provide escort services for materials and personnel.
  • Inspect potential security and fire hazards.
  • Handle special assignments as directed.

Responsibilities :

The exact duties of this position may vary depending on the specifics of your assignment. Overall, your role will encompass :

  • Timely attendance and reporting to your designated post in full uniform.
  • Greeting visitors, customers, and employees in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Staying informed on all revisions to post orders and relevant information.
  • Vigilantly patrolling the assigned area and reporting suspicious activities, including accidents and criminal actions.
  • Monitoring surveillance cameras and security equipment as per post orders.
  • Maintaining knowledge of emergency procedures and regulations to respond effectively to incidents.
  • Documenting Daily Activity Reports, Log Book entries, Incident Reports, and any other required documentation.
  • Providing recommendations to management for improved safety and security measures based on daily observations.
  • Familiarizing yourself with life safety systems, fire panels, and other security-related equipment.
  • Ensuring compliance with training and regulatory guidelines.
  • Communicating regularly with the Security Supervisor regarding new issues or necessary procedural updates.
