Field Techs and Field Biologists (On-Call)

H. T. Harvey & Associates, an ecological consulting firm with four offices in Northern California and one in Hawaii, is looking for on-call field techs and field biologists to assist with projects in the Sacramento Valley, Redwood Coast, and other regions throughout Northern California. Candidates may be based in proximity to these areas. The anticipated pay range for this position is $24.25 per hour to $38.00 per hour. Actual compensation within the range will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Our projects are based in the Sacramento Valley (Folsom office) and Redwood Coast (Arcata office) as well as in the surrounding Bay Area, Coast Range, Sierra Nevada, and Cascade Mountain regions.

The successful on-call team members will work with experienced senior ecologists as part of a collaborative team to support environmental compliance for a variety of projects. Work usually includes conducting field studies and biological monitoring for fish, wildlife, and rare and endangered plants and their habitats found in Northern California. Species emphasized include, but are not limited to, Swainson's hawks, bald and golden eagles, American goshawks, California spotted owls, burrowing owls, giant garter snakes, northwestern pond turtles, foothill yellow-legged frogs, California red-legged frogs, Sierra Nevada yellow-legged frogs, California tiger salamanders, vernal pool branchiopods, valley elderberry longhorn beetles, Monarch butterflies, native bumble bees, anadromous salmonids, and California native plants.
