Five Nines is seeking a highly experienced Solutions Architect to support business growth within key industries across the United States. This is a strategic, high-impact role suited for a seasoned technologist who excels at architecting complex, multi-stakeholder solutions. You will be responsible for designing managed services solutions and IT projects that align with clients’ business goals. This role requires close collaboration with sales, service and procurement teams, as well as engagement with current and prospective clients. You will assess technical environments, define scopes, and set realistic expectations for costs, timelines, and resource needs. By ensuring solution accuracy and alignment with our reference architecture, this position plays a vital role in delivering value to clients and supporting efficient growth for the organization.

What You Will Do
Own Pre-Sales
- Articulate, present, and discuss the full portfolio of Five Nines managed services and solutions.
- Strategize with clients and prospects to?architect?winning solutions based on a variety of criteria, including business?objectives, functionality, scalability,?and cost.
- Accurately document client environments and create detailed statements of Work (SOW) that allow?Five Nines?technical staff to deliver post-sale.
- Partner with our sales and operations teams to provide support for pre/post sales activities, such as product demonstrations, webinars and/or presentations, solution designs, proofs of concept, total cost of ownership, ROI analysis, etc.
Technical Leadership
- Translate complex technical concepts to easily understood discussions which address both business drivers and client benefits.
- Stay up to date on emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices.
- Serve as subject matter expert for internal product development and reference architecture optimizations.
Internal Processes, Documentation, Audits and Standards
- Manage multiple concurrent projects with non-linear project phases, while?maintaining an appropriate availability?to deliver well-designed solutions on time.
- Act as a liaison between sales, service and procurement teams to align project objectives and deliverables.
- Perform daily and weekly opportunity queue management to ensure compliance with organizational standards.
- Create, maintain, and review SOW templates and related collaterals.
- Develop processes to optimize solution scoping and pricing.
- Serve on internal committees as requested
Requirements:
- 5+ years of pre-sales or sales engineering experience including a demonstrated ability to create technical solutions for small and medium-sized businesses in the Managed Services Provider space.
- A solid understanding of Microsoft platforms including Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), Microsoft 365, and Azure infrastructure and platform services; plus experience with virtualization and application delivery technologies such as VMware vSphere and Citrix Virtual Apps/Desktops, modern endpoint management with Microsoft Intune, and collaboration/security tools across hybrid environments. Familiarity with next generation firewalls and secure networking, modern storage and backup solutions, and unified communications/VOIP platforms and major hosted PBX providers is also required.
- Experience performing requirements gathering with prospective clients.
- Experience writing statements of work and appropriately determining pricing and cost.
- Experience responding to RFP, RFI, and RFQ documents.
- The ability to work with and gain input utilizing resources from multiple teams.
- A keen attention to detail, a data-driven critical thinking mind, analytical expertise, and a solution-driven, service-oriented personality.
- A knack for working in a similar fast-paced, high-SLA, deadline-driven environment.
- Excellent written and verbal presentation skills.
- The willingness to travel approximately 50%, primarily locally or regionally.
Preferred Skills and Experience
- A bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Information Technology, or other related fields.
- Understanding of financial regulatory frameworks such as GLBA, FFIEC, FDIC, or OCC guidelines.
- Experience working with community banks, credit unions, or other regulated financial institutions.
- Exposure to risk, audit, or compliance-driven environments.
