JOB OVERVIEW
As a professional Facility Security for FTAI Aviation, you will be responsible for the security and safety of our client's property and personnel. As the Facility Security officer, you will know all site-specific policies and procedures, and implement emergency response activities as appropriate, while providing superior customer service.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and control access to the facility, ensuring that only authorized personnel and visitors are granted entry.
- Conduct Regular patrols of the premises to deter and detect unauthorized activities or potential security threats.
- Operate and maintain surveillance systems to monitor the facilities for suspicious activity.
- Inspect fire extinguishers to ensure they are charged and operational, report any maintenance needs.
- Check emergency exit doors to ensure they are functional, unobstructed, and in compliance with safety regulations.
- Maintain cleanliness and safety of the front parking lot by blowing and removing debris regularly.
- Respond promptly to security breaches, emergencies, and alarms. Coordinate with local law enforcement and emergency services, as needed.
- Enforce safety protocols and procedures to ensure compliance with aviation security and safety regulations.
- Maintain a lookout for small fires started by these sparks and bits of slag.
- In the event of a fire, they execute their primary duty of sounding the alarm and, if possible, attempt to control the fire.
- Prepare and maintain detailed incident reports and daily activity logs.
- Assist in cleaning duties as needed, ensuring that all security areas, including checkpoints, entrances and exits are kept tidy and free from any hazard.
- Support general housekeeping efforts by reporting cleanliness issues and assisting with minor clean ups.
- Provide support during emergency evacuations and drills, ensuring the safety of all personnel and visitors.
- Assist in the development and implementation of security policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid guard card/license
- Complete a background investigation
- Ability to handle crisis situations at the client site, calmly and efficiently
- Stand or walk on various surfaces for long periods of time
- Climb stairs, ramps, or ladders occasionally during shift
- Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S
- Must be fluent in English (written and verbal)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Moderate computer skills
- Occasionally lift or carry up to 40 pounds
Job Demands:
Work is performed in a Shop environment and requires the ability to perform extensive standing, driving, walking, and climbing; to lift up to 50lbs. regularly; to manipulate up to 100lbs. with assistance. Must be able to bend, stoop, climb to reach materials, and work in a noisy environment.
