SQL Server and PostgreSQL Database Administrator

Our client, in the financial services / wealth management sector is seeking a SQL Server and PostgreSQL Database Admin to join their team.

This DBA will have expertise in SQL Server and PostgreSQL to support the secure, efficient, and resilient management of enterprise data assets across hybrid environments.

The DBA will help maintain mission-critical data platforms, contribute to data modernization initiatives, and support a blend of legacy systems and modern cloud-native solutions. Familiarity with Snowflake and other cloud technologies is important to advance the organization’s cloud-first data strategy.

This is a hybrid position requiring periodic in-office presence based on onboarding, performance, and management requirements.

Job Title :   SQL Server and PostgreSQL Database Admin

Location : Philadelphia PA (hybrid 1 day per week on site / Wednesday)

What’s Needed?

• 5–7+ years of experience managing SQL Server and PostgreSQL systems
• In-depth knowledge of SQL Server internals, performance tuning, and backup / recovery
• Experience implementing HA / DR strategies with clustering and Always On
• Advanced skills in PostgreSQL tuning, replication, and operational management
• Hands-on experience with Snowflake and hybrid / cloud data architectures
• Strong scripting and automation skills using Python, T-SQL, PowerShell, or Bash
