Registered Nurses (RN) – PPEC (Prescribed Pediatric Extended Care Center)

Locations : Haines City, FL (33844) | Lakeland, FL (33809)

About the Role

GenCare Kids PPEC is seeking compassionate and experienced Registered Nurses (RN) to join our dedicated team. Our centers provide day healthcare services to medically complex children in a nurturing, supportive environment.

This position offers flexible scheduling within our operating hours of 6 : 00 AM to 6 : 00 PM, Monday through Friday , with opportunities at one of several locations (not all at once). Occasional travel to another nearby center may be required based on patient census.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver direct, family-centered nursing care under the supervision of the Director of Nursing.
• Support children with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, toileting, oral hygiene, and mobility.
• Administer medications (oral, enteral, subcutaneous) and monitor for side effects and effectiveness.
• Perform and assist with procedures such as tube feedings, tracheostomy care, wound care, and oxygen therapy.
• Monitor patient conditions and document observations and interventions promptly.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary team members.
• Support developmental, rehabilitative, and social activities for children in care.
• Participate in the review and maintenance of medication administration records (MAR).
• Maintain a clean, safe, and supportive environment for children and families.
