Saw Operator - Hewitt, TX
Pay: $16.50 per hour

We are currently seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Circular Chop Saw Operator cutting aluminum to join our production team in Hewitt, TX. This position plays a key role in the manufacturing process by setting up and operating saws to cut aluminum and metal materials according to work order specifications.

Job Overview

The Saw Operator is responsible for accurately cutting materials to required dimensions while maintaining quality and safety standards throughout the production process.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Read and interpret job orders for material type, size, and cut dimensions
• Obtain and transfer stock to the machine
• Count, cut, and stack aluminum material
• Operate saw equipment and monitor machine operation
• Measure finished materials to ensure accuracy and conformance to specifications
• Load and unload materials using a forklift
• Inspect products for defects and report issues to supervisor
• Perform basic preventative maintenance at workstation
• Complete other related duties as assigned

Requirements

• Basic math skills and ability to read a tape measure
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
• Effective communication skills and ability to work well with coworkers
• Familiarity with carpentry skills (framing, drywall, siding, etc.)
• Reliable attendance and punctuality
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently or as part of a team
