AI/Machine Learning Engineer at CleanSlate Technology Group
Job Summary
CleanSlate is adding an experienced AI/Machine Learning Engineer to its established Cloud Data and Analytics team. The ideal candidate will deliver advanced AI solutions using cloud-native experimentation, training, and testing, and solve real-world business problems through innovative use of ML, AI, and Generative AI.
Responsibilities
- Hands-on development and data engineering
- Participate in development and team meetings lead by project manager or scrum master
- Work in a blended environment with client and other CSTG team members
- Achieve required certifications
- Leads the delivery of technical implementations for a specific technical domain
- Has depth of technical knowledge
- Researches and evaluates a variety of mainstream and emerging technologies
- Captures functional and non-functional requirements for a specific task
- Builds and communicates designs in a manner for others to follow
- Ensures technical soundness and quality for a solution
- In conjunction with Delivery Manager, participates in technical planning and project estimation
- Collaborates and communicates well with technical team members
- Lead code review sessions to ensure code quality, performance, and maintainability
- Demonstrated ability to coach and mentor individuals
- Strong ability to embrace ambiguity
- Always a team player. Able to resolve conflict and treat others with respect
Requirements
- 2+ years machine learning experience building complex Data/AI solutions
- 2+ years implementation experience using Python and related ML libraries (SciKit-Learn, Pandas, PyTorch, Keras, Tensor Flow or any combination thereof)
- Ability to apply correct ML Model to the problem (e.g. Linear / Nonlinear Regression, Random Forest, Neural Networks [RNN vs CNN, Transformer and the like], supervised vs. unsupervised learning, etc.)
- Some experience or a working knowledge of Generative AI LLMs, pretraining, fine-tuning, transfer learning, instruction fine-tuning, etc.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous consulting experience
- Masters Degree in Data Science, Machine Learning, Mathematics or related education
- AWS or Azure ML experience and/or certification
- Experience building high volume ML pipelines with Databricks, Spark, or similar using PySpark or Scala (SparkML experience a plus)
- Ability to communicate complex ideas and designs to client teams
- Ability to consult with and provide leadership to client data science teams
- Ability to work with Data Engineers to implement real-world prediction services or ML/AI as a service
- Experience with Sagemaker and / or Azure ML (AWS Bedrock a plus)
- Working knowledge or experience working with Data Lakes / Lake Warehouses as the source for ML / AI experimentation, training, and testing
- Experience productionizing AI modelsWorking knowledge of MLOps and the ability to consult on implementation concepts
- Working knowledge of Feature Stores and how they bridge experimentation and productionizing boundaries
