Position Information Position Title: Lecturer/Adjunct Assistant Professor of Psychology Position Number: Working Title: Lecturer/Adjunct Assistant Professor of Psychology Full-time or Part-time: Full Time Time Limited Position: No Number of Vacancies: 1 Department: Psychology Posting Number: SHRA/EHRA: EHRA (Faculty) Job Category: Education and Instruction Hiring Range: Commensurate with Education and Experience Overall Position Competency: EHRA Faculty Primary Purpose of the Organization: The Department of Psychology offers a B.S. degree in Psychology (with options for an online degree completion program and a Biopsychology concentration) and an M.A. degree in Psychology with Counseling and Experimental tracks. Primary Purpose of the Position: The Department of Psychology invites applications for a renewable one-year, fixed-term position at the rank of Lecturer/Adjunct Assistant Professor scheduled to begin in Fall . The primary purpose of the position will be to teach courses in the core and in major programs offered by the Department of Psychology. Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:

• Adjunct Assistant Professor: Ph.D. in Psychology
• Lecturer: Master’s degree in Psychology with 18 Credit hours of psychology courses for the Lecturer position.

Knowledge skills and abilities:

• Excellence in, enthusiasm for, and commitment to undergraduate teaching.
• Superior communications skills – oral and written – including phone, letters, email, voicemail, videoconferencing, one-on-one, and group.
• Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite, especially Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Canvas, and SharePoint.
• Proficiency with digital publishing software/platforms, i.e., Adobe Creative Cloud.
• Professional competence and knowledge of subject matter pertinent to the specialization area.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Demonstrated teaching experience in statistics and research methods.
• Record of instructing at least four psychology courses at the undergraduate level.
