About The Position

All Star Healthcare Solutions is seeking a board-certified gastroenterologist for a locum tenens opportunity in Louisiana. This role includes both inpatient and outpatient responsibilities with full nursing support and access to a GI endoscopy lab.

Work Setting : 20-bed ICU, 166-bed hospital, GI endoscopy lab

Support Staff :

Nursing support in clinic

Nursing support in GI lab

Clinical Responsibilities :

Hemostasis of bleeding lesion

Esophageal variceal banding

Hemorrhoidal banding

Argon plasma coagulation (APC)

Banding lesions

Liver biopsy

Diagnostic testing (motility / manometry)

Colonoscopy

Biopsy

Proctoscopy and / or flexible sigmoidoscopy

Upper GI endoscopy

Capsule endoscopy

Retrograde cholangio-pancreatography (ERCP)

Sphincterotomy / stone removal

Endoscopic ultrasound (EUS)

Biliary / pancreatic stent placement

Percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy (PEG)

EMR : EPIC
