Position Summary
Under the supervision of the Site Lead Dentist, performs patient care, treatment planning and referrals.
Essential Functions / Responsibilities
Coordinates the implementation of dental functions in order to meet patient careneeds and industry and agency standards
Appraises patient dental needs and correctional methods.Provides dental services to patients, including the application of fillings,extractions, x-rays, restorations, surgery and dental prostheses, as appropriate,
and diagnoses and treats oral lesions.
Reviews rules and standards and may recommend changes in departmentalpolicies and procedures, as appropriate.
Supervises dental assistants at chair side to ensure the application of properdental techniques and methods.
Maintains patient records in chart of all dental services rendered.Attends doctor's meetings.Consults with patient physician where appropriate.Complete periodic chart reviewsOther duties as assignedEducation, Qualifications, and / or Experience
Must possess a valid and unencumbered dental license from the Dental Boardof California
Significant experience with surgery and dental prosthetics preferredMust be available to work most Saturdays.Skills / Specialized Knowledge
