SOFTWARE ENGINEERING MANAGER, ERP / WMS / TMS
Full Time - Exempt Contract to Hire
Corona, On-Site
$140 - $160k, plus bonus

Executive Summary
We are seeking a Software Engineering Manager, ERP / WMS / TMS who has extensive professional experience in software development and a deep understanding of technology to take a leading role in building, implementing, and maintaining all software systems. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading software development as well as the quality of the deliverables, leading the day-to-day technical operations and maintenance of a diverse portfolio of complex software applications including but not limited to sales channel EDI connection, e-comm platform, Logistics WMS and TMS, CRM and other ERP functionalities, etc. This position will work with the project manager and BSA to maintain highly available systems, implement process automation, optimize Operations team efficiency, implement best practices, and provide technical guidance to government stakeholders.
Duties and Responsibilities
Provide technical leadership to the IT Operations team that provides system operations, change management, configuration management, user support and training. This team includes application, systems, and outsourcing engineers who manage and maintain the high availability of a portfolio of applications.
Oversees all technical resources and projects, analyze briefs, write progress reports, identify risks, etc.; help advance the development resource (on-shore and off-shore) and establish strong cross-functional collaboration.
Liaising with both internal and external engineering resources, management, and clients to ensure projects are completed to standard; coordinate team efforts to resolve service interruptions and other operational issues.
Lead troubleshooting, recovery, and root cause analysis efforts. Coordinate with various stakeholders as well as outsourcing engineers for advanced troubleshooting support.
Communicate service interruptions and change activity to stakeholders including internal and client management as well as other affected teams.
Apply Agile, Kanban, and Scrum techniques to implement Operations tasks, and optimize resource assignments and efforts as priorities change across competing workstreams.
Analyzing existing operations and scheduling training sessions and meetings to discuss improvements; proactively identify and coordinate change activity involving Operations, software development, and both internal and external stakeholder teams.
Develop and refine standard operating procedures for application support and maintenance.
Collect and report operational metrics including service level agreement compliance.
Coordinate with application leads to deliver maintenance software releases.
Maintain a hardware and software license inventory.
Work closely with the Executive Leadership and the Finance Department to project development schedule, budget, resource plan, and deliverables compliance.
Identify and present best practice recommendations to improve Operations, including automation.
Motivating staff and creating a space where they can ask questions and voice their concerns; being transparent with the team about challenges, failures, and successes.
Requirements and Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
5 years of experience.
Excellent technical, diagnostic, and troubleshooting skills.
Diversified experience in software development of multi areas, preferred e-comm platform, ERP, CRM, EDI, API, WMS, TMS, etc.
Relevant Management certification may be required.
Experience in a similar role would be advantageous.
Strong leadership and organizational abilities.
Willingness to build professional relationships with staff and clients.
Excellent communication, motivational, and interpersonal skills.
