RN Emergency Room | Murrieta, California

An opportunity is available for an experienced Registered Nurse with Emergency Room expertise to provide compassionate pediatric urgent care. This contract position is based primarily in a well-respected pediatric urgent care setting known for excellence and advanced trauma care. The role requires dedication to delivering high-quality care to children in urgent care and emergency situations.

Location:
Murrieta, CA, serves as a great hub with proximity to beautiful coastal and inland areas of Southern California. This region boasts pleasant weather year-round, outdoor recreational opportunities, and vibrant community life.

Schedule/Hours:

• Minimum 30 hours per week guaranteed
• Weekday shifts start at 3:00 PM, 8 hours
• Weekend shifts start at 12:30 PM, 10 hours
• Typical workweek includes 3 weekdays and 1 weekend day

Responsibilities:

• Perform triage and emergency nursing care for pediatric patients
• Deliver care consistent with facility protocols and pediatric standards
• Float between designated sister locations as needed (primarily at Oceanside with rare occasions in other sites)
• Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams in a fast-paced urgent care environment
• Participate in holiday coverage (2 out of 3 holidays, including holiday eves)

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Current RN license (pending licensure with ETA acceptable)
• Minimum 1 year pediatric emergency department experience, with triage skills
• BLS (AHA) and PALS certifications required
• Willingness to work weekend shifts and float within scope
• Experience in pediatric urgent care or emergency settings
• First-time travelers with appropriate experience are welcome
