Your Role :

As a Tax Office Team Leader , you will lead a dedicated and customer-focused team in our tax office, driving seasonal business growth while nurturing client relationships that deepen over time.

Your Responsibilities :

  • Collaborate with the District General Manager to develop and execute local growth strategies, fostering community engagement and partnerships.
  • Assist in recruiting and interviewing new tax office associates to build a strong team.
  • Address escalated client service issues as the primary point of contact.
  • Oversee scheduling to resolve conflicts and ensure clients are seen promptly.
  • Manage daily operations to ensure that all team tasks meet deadlines with high quality.
  • Foster a supportive team environment through training and coaching, recognizing exceptional contributions.
  • Lead team meetings to share crucial updates and maintain open communication.
  • Develop work schedules for associates while managing accurate timekeeping.
  • Prepare tax returns when necessary.
  • Conduct performance reviews and collaborate with our Associate Relations Center to address any performance-related issues.

Your Qualifications :

  • Experience in customer service or as a shift leader.
  • Proven ability to supervise and manage a team effectively.
  • Completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment or Income Tax Course if preparing returns.
  • Continuing education fulfillment and compliance with IRS and state requirements.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and comfortable working independently.
  • Strong customer-centric attitude with resilience and determination.
  • Ability to adapt to a flexible working schedule based on business needs.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent.

    • Preferred Qualifications :

  • Experience in multi-unit management in retail, restaurant, banking, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience as a Tax Professional.
