Entry Level Facilities and Maintenance Technician
Position Summary
The Entry Level Facilities and Machine Maintenance Technician shall be able to help complete a variety of manufacturing and production support tasks. Job assignments will be frequently changed as demanded by the production system. Tasks may include working in shipping and receiving, delivering parts while driving company vehicles, performing machinery cleaning and maintenance, assembling parts, operating CNC (and other) equipment, dumping chip barrels, processing coolant, building tooling carts, performing general shop cleanup, etc.
- Training Schedule (for 2-3 weeks) Monday - Thursday, 5am - 3 : 30pm
- Schedule Once Trained : 3rd Shift : Friday-Sunday, 5am-6pm (Work 36 hours, get paid for 40. Plus shift differential pay.)
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Represent the company in a professional, courteous, and timely manner.Unload and load trucks using forklifts and pallet jacks. Must be able to band materials in preparation for shipping.Responsible for assisting with packaging parts, boxing, address labeling, bills of lading, barcodes, and other paperwork.Assist or independently perform machinery maintenance and cleaning according to maintenance checklists and instructions.Complete a variety of uncomplicated assemblies, operate CNC (and other equipment), with instruction and setup assistance provided.Manage our shop waste requirements : Dumping chip barrels using the forklift, processing coolant, and coordinate chip recycling pickup.Perform general shop cleanup, sweeping, mopping, and running the automated floor sweeper.Maintain good attendance per policy each attendance year.Other related duties as assigned.Qualifications
High School Diploma or Equivalent.Must have driver's license and clean driving record to operate company vehicles while delivering partsand running company errands.
Understand basic hand tool operation.Comply with safe equipment operating practices regarding hearing, eye, and hand protection requirements.Quickly adjust to changing job assignments, actively seek ways to get jobs done quickly, and maintain an overall active work pace.Physical Requirements
Normal or correctable hearing. Correctable vision to 20-20.Ability to lift 50 lbs. individually or with assistance. Ability to stand or sit for long periods of time.Company Salary / Benefits
