Outside Sales Representative
The Outside Sales Representative is responsible for general and specific tasks related to the effective opening, execution and closing of the end-to-end sales cycle processes through the development of sales strategies. This position requires relationship building, cold calling, product presentation, selling, researching, strategy development, and reporting.
Essential duties and responsibilities include partnering with Inside Sales to ensure account retention through seamless customer support, resource orchestration, and order fulfillment troubleshooting; profitably growing sales to achieve yearly sales goals as a sales consultant for current core industries and emerging industries and markets; prospecting new accounts, working to retain existing accounts, and increasing opportunities with existing customers; demonstrating breadth and depth of product knowledge to position and map Wurth Industry offerings to align with the customer's business objectives and initiatives; maintaining and building customer relationships to become a trusted consultative advisor who ensures retention, growth and client satisfaction; providing a full representation of the Wurth Industry product offerings; completing regular sales call plans and records results; creating sales goals and tracking sales through reporting, while planning and implementing sales strategies as necessary; maintaining accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and follow-ups using CRM software; staying up to date with industry trends, competitors, and market conditions; collaborating with internal teams to ensure customer satisfaction and seamless service delivery; attending industry events, trade shows, and networking functions to expand business opportunities; and all other duties as assigned.
Education, qualifications, skills, and abilities include a Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; 3-5 years of outside sales experience, or any equivalent combination of education and relevant experience; proven experience in outside sales, business development, or a related field; excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills; strong ability to build rapport and maintain client relationships; self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently; ability to travel within assigned territory; proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite; a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Base pay range is base plus commission, company car, and cell phone. Pay is based on several factors which vary based on position. These include labor markets and, in some instances, may include education, skills, work experience and certifications. You may also be eligible to participate in an annual incentive bonus. An incentive bonus, if any, depends on various factors such as organizational performance.
