- Location : Northeast San Antonio, TX
- Schedule : Monday-Friday, 8 : 00 AM-5 : 00 PM
- Pay : $16-$20 / hr
- Contract : 4-month contract with potential to convert to permanent
- Travel : May float to neighboring clinics within the NE San Antonio area
- Dress Code : Solid scrubs (Black, Lime, or Gray) and closed-toed shoes
About the Role :
We are seeking a tenured Medical Assistant to join a specialty clinic in Northeast San Antonio. The ideal candidate is experienced, adaptable, and confident in core clinical duties. Responsibilities include stepping in to assist providers as needed, taking vitals, manual blood pressure, rooming patients, and performing phlebotomy.
Overview of Responsibilities :
Perform vitals, room patients, and verify medicationsWork within Allscripts EMRConduct phlebotomy and obtain manual blood pressureAssist new MAs and help acclimate them to the workflowProvide general back-office support to physiciansAssist providers with exams as neededMaintain inventory and stock medical suppliesMonitor and maintain the medication sample closetPrep patients for testing and obtain results for exams and labsEnsure physicians review lab results and notify patients as instructedAnswer patient calls promptly and professionallyComplete chart prep and conduct final chart reviewsTrain back-office staff when requestedHandle incoming requests and information via fax or other methodsComplete all tasks within established office timeframesMaintain patient confidentialityDeliver information to providers or designated areasComplete referrals when requestedPromote excellent customer service and effective communicationFollow clinic policies, procedures, and workflowsPerform additional duties as assignedMust-Have Skills & Qualifications :
High school diploma or GEDExperience with manual blood pressureValid driver's license and proof of insuranceCPR / BLS highly preferredStrong experience in vitals, rooming, phlebotomy, and general MA duties with minimal supervisionWhy Apply?
