About the Opportunity
Ember Management Group is seeking a passionate and skilled Chef de Cuisine (CDC) to lead the back-of-house operations for Imoto Coral Gables , opening October 2025. This is a rare opportunity to play a key role in one of South Florida’s most anticipated restaurant openings, joining a company known for exceptional food, thoughtful service, and a strong, people-first culture.
This is a working, hands-on leadership position ideal for an experienced sushi chef who is ready to take the next step in their culinary career. The Chef de Cuisine will be responsible for overseeing daily operations of the Imoto kitchen, leading by example on the sushi line, and managing all aspects of BOH performance — including hiring, training, and staff development.

Responsibilities
Lead daily back-of-house operations for Imoto Coral GablesOperate as a working sushi chef first — maintaining the highest quality and precision on the sushi lineManage, train, and inspire a high-performance kitchen teamOversee scheduling, hiring, and onboarding of BOH staffEnsure strict adherence to food safety and sanitation standardsWork closely with the Executive Chef to execute culinary vision and seasonal menu changesCreate well documented recipes and assist in maintaining recipe portfolioUphold the culture and standards of excellence set by Ember Management GroupQualifications
Minimum 5 years of kitchen leadership experience, preferably in a high-volume, upscale environmentProven skills and experience as a sushi chef — confident, precise, and passionateStrong leadership abilities with a focus on team development and communicationAbility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as neededCommitment to excellence in hospitality, product, and professionalismWhat We Offer
