Terracon—a 100% employee-owned firm—is growing, and we’re looking for an experienced Senior Recruiter (A/E/C) to join our National Talent Acquisition team. In this role, you’ll partner closely with Operations and office leaders to fill critical roles, influence hiring strategies, and deliver a best-in-class candidate experience.
This is a highly visible, full-life-cycle recruiting role where your sourcing expertise, consultative approach, and industry knowledge will make a direct impact on our continued success.
What You’ll Do
- As a Senior Recruiter, you’ll serve as a trusted advisor to hiring leaders while managing complex, high-priority searches across the organization.
Key Responsibilities- Lead full life-cycle recruiting for strategic hire positions
- Partner with hiring managers to define talent needs, develop recruiting strategies, and guide offer decisions
- Source and attract active and passive candidates using creative, data-driven recruiting methods
- Screen, interview, and present top talent while ensuring strong cultural and technical alignment
- Provide offer strategy guidance and support offer negotiations
- Coordinate and manage interview processes end-to-end for the requisitions you are working on
- Develop and manage job postings, advertising campaigns, and niche sourcing efforts
- Act as a recruiting subject matter expert (SME), mentoring hiring managers on best practices
- Ensure an exceptional, consistent candidate experience throughout the hiring process
- Maintain accurate and timely updates in the applicant tracking system
- Ensure compliance with employment laws, regulations, and company policies
- Contribute to recruiting process improvements, training, and HR initiatives
- Collaborate across the National Talent Acquisition team on broader HR and talent projects
What You Bring- Bachelor’s degree in Business, HR, or related field and 10+ years of recruiting experience within an engineering consulting firm or similar corporate environment

14+ years of related experience in lieu of a degree - Proven experience recruiting for complex, hard-to-fill A/E/C roles
- Expertise in creative sourcing techniques for active and passive talent
- Strong consultative skills with the ability to influence and advise leaders
- Experience using an applicant tracking system (Oracle Cloud preferred)
- Understanding of recruiting AI tools
- Familiarity with social and professional networking platforms (LinkedIn, Facebook, X, etc.)
- Ability to manage multiple, competing priorities effectively
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving history
Preferred Certifications- CIR (Certified Internet Researcher)
- LinkedIn Certified Recruiter or similar credential
