We areseeking an experienced OB Hospitalist Physician to provide locum coverage at aLevel III hospital in Davenport, Iowa. The position offers flexible 12- or24-hour hospital call shifts with weekend coverage and a supportive workenvironment.

AssignmentDetails :

  • Shift Type : 12-hour (8 AM – 8 PM) or 24-hour (8 AM – 8 AM) hospital call shifts
  • Schedule : Monday–Friday with some weekends; NO OVERTIME
  • Call Ratio : 1 : 5, schedule available 1–2 months in advance
  • Practice Setting : OB & GYN, hospital-based, trauma Level III
  • On-Call Requirements : 12 or 24 hours, flat rate with on-site sleep room provided

KeyResponsibilities :

Obstetrics :

  • Manage low-risk pregnancies (e.g., twins, toxemia, pyelonephritis)
  • Manage high-risk pregnancies (e.g., toxemia, diabetes, Class II+ cardiac, chronic lung / renal disease)
  • FHR interpretation – NST / CST / FSE
  • Perform OB Level I / screening ultrasounds (viability)
  • Amniocentesis

    • Labor& Delivery :

  • Routine deliveries : vaginal, low-forceps, decision-making for C-section
  • Complicated deliveries : C-section, breech, multiple births, abruptions
  • VBACs
  • Repair of 3rd & 4th degree lacerations

    • Gynecology :

  • Open surgical gynecology
  • Laparoscopic diagnostic / minor procedures (tubal ligation, LOA’s, chromal tubation)
  • Operative / major procedures including ectopic pregnancy, ovary removal, cystectomy, extensive LOAs

    • Qualifications :

  • Board Certified in OB / GYN (FM OB not accepted)
  • Active Iowa license or IMLC with LOQ at time of submission
  • Fetal monitoring experience
