Private Markets Associate

A well-funded financial technology startup is building what you can think of as Bloomberg for pre-IPO companies . The platform brings transparency and efficiency to the private secondary market, enabling institutional investors to trade shares in late-stage private companies.

Role Overview

The Private Markets Associate will work on the brokerage side of the business, supporting deal execution and client engagement while collaborating closely with product and engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Manage deal origination and execution for the marketplace.
  • Create marketing materials and data-driven analyses for clients and media.
  • Work with Product and Engineering to shape client-facing tools.
  • Drive new client acquisition and engagement.
  • Influence the technology roadmap based on client feedback.

    • This is a high-impact role that blends finance, strategy, product, and operations.

    Ideal Candidate

  • 1+ years of investment banking experience (M&A preferred).
  • Strong understanding of pricing dynamics and market movements.
  • Demonstrated hustle-student-athlete, ex-founder, or similar entrepreneurial traits.
  • No prior private markets experience required, but curiosity and adaptability are essential.

    • Compensation

  • $145K base salary + bonus + equity .
  • Hiring ASAP , but can accommodate a January start for candidates waiting on year-end bonuses.
