JOB PURPOSE

The Tool and Die Maker is responsible for designing, building, maintaining, and repairing precision tools, dies, jigs, fixtures, and gauges used in manufacturing processes. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work with close tolerances to ensure high-quality production.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design, fabricate, assemble, and repair tools, dies, molds, jigs, and fixtures according to specifications and blueprints.
• Interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, and technical documentation.
• Set up andoperatemanual and CNC machines, including lathes, mills, grinders,EDMetc.
• Perform precision measurements using micrometers, calipers, gauges, and CMM equipment.
• Troubleshoot tooling issues and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime.
• Maintainaccuraterecords of tool builds, repairs, and modifications.
• Follow all company safety policies andmaintaina clean and organized work environment.

QUALIFICATIONS

WORKING CONDITIONS

This position operates within a manufacturing environment and involves routine exposure to machinery, elevated noise levels, and various industrial materials. The role requires flexibility and the ability to adapt to shifting priorities throughout the workday. Overtime may be necessary based on production requirements.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Required to lift, push or pull 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods of time.
