Lawyers on Demand (LOD), a Consilio company, is partnering with a global production company to recruit an experienced
In-House Intellectual Property Counsel. This is a
part-time, long-term temporary opportunity supporting a dynamic in-house IP team.
Position Details - Start Date: ASAP
- Duration: 3+ months, with potential to extend
- Hours: 20 hours/week to start (potential to adjust based on business needs)
- Location: Chicagoland area preferred Remote candidates with exceptional experience will also be considered
- Compensation: $100+/hour (commensurate with experience)
Responsibilities - Provide senior-level IP counsel to the company’s in-house legal team supporting high-volume, global brands
- Manage patent filings, portfolio strategy, and trade secret counseling
- Advise business leaders on IP strategy to support innovation, brand protection, and competitive advantage
- Ensure compliance with IP best practices while providing practical, business-focused solutions
- Integrate quickly into the team with minimal training, providing hands-on guidance across IP functions
Candidate Profile - 10+ years of experience as an intellectual property attorney, with significant in-house experience required
- Strong background in the consumer-packaged goods industry highly preferred
- Skilled in patent filings, portfolio management, and trade secret counseling
- Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, innovation-driven environment with agility, creativity, and efficiency
- Active U.S. bar license in good standing
