Senior Manager of Revenue
Location : Daytona Beach, FL (Hybrid)
About the Role
A fast-paced, nationally recognized organization in the sports and entertainment industry is seeking a Senior Manager of Revenue to lead revenue recognition, contract review, and technical accounting across multiple complex revenue streams. This high-visibility position works closely with Accounting Leadership, Legal, Sales, and Operations while managing a team responsible for accurate and timely revenue reporting.
This role is suited for a strong technical accountant with ASC 606 expertise, analytical skills, and the ability to interpret, document, and communicate revenue implications across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Review, analyze, and interpret contracts to determine revenue treatment under ASC 606
Prepare and review technical accounting memos supporting revenue conclusions
Lead monthly revenue close activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis
Oversee preparation of revenue-related financial statements and reporting packages
Support annual external audits with schedules, analysis, and documentation
Maintain and update revenue accounting policies, process documentation, and internal controls
Ensure accurate data flow between systems interfacing with Workday; manage mapping and translation tables
Lead initiatives to streamline and enhance revenue processes and operational efficiency
Partner with Tax, Legal, Sales, and other business units on revenue matters
Provide financial insights to leadership for strategic and operational decisions
Supervise, mentor, and evaluate revenue staff
Qualifications
Required :
Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience)
5+ years of relevant accounting experience
Strong technical knowledge of ASC 606 and contracted revenue
Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, modeling)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Supervisory or team leadership experience
Preferred :
Public accounting experience (Big 4 or regional)
CPA certified or CPA-eligible
Experience with Workday Financials
Experience managing large, multi-stream revenue environments
