DevSecOps Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Drive the unification and automation of processes to enable software development across the entire GWS system.
• Integrate code, application maintenance, and management within the DevSecOps culture.
• Develop and maintain fully automated Continuous Integration (CI) build processes, including writing build and deployment scripts.
• Interface with DevSecOps and engineering teams to coordinate, optimize, and standardize pipelines, scanning tools, deployments, and lifecycle steps.
• This is a 100% in-person, closed-area role.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in STEM with 2+ years of related experience, or Master’s with 0 years.
• Active U.S. DoD Secret security clearance.
• Exposure to DevSecOps practices, and cloud technologies (Azure, AWS, GCP).
• Experience with Agile development practices.
• DOD 8570 IAT Level II certification (e.g., Security+ CE).
• Proficiency in writing/reviewing code (Java, Python, etc.).

Desired Skills

• Kubernetes deployment/maintenance.
• Familiarity with PaaS, Docker, Kubernetes, Atlassian JIRA, Confluence, Jenkins, Nexus.
• Configuration management tools: Git, GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket.
• Branching strategies, gated commits, source control.
• UNIX scripting (C++, Perl, Python, Bash, Ruby, shell scripts).
• Windows scripting (PowerShell, etc.).
• Infrastructure-as-Code: Terraform, Helm.
