Job Description

Job Title : Physical Therapist

Job Specialty : Physical Therapy

Job Duration : 13-week assignment

Shift : 8-hour days, with a start time between 0800-0900; includes two weekend shifts a month

Guaranteed Hours : 40 hours per week

Experience : Minimum of 2 years

License : Active CA PT license

Certifications : BLS

Must-Have :

  • Ability to work independently and perform transfers
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work closely with an interdisciplinary team

Job Description :

  • Mainly work in a skilled nursing facility but will be trained to float to an inpatient acute care hospital
  • Treat 8-9 post-acute patients per day
  • Inpatient only, covering areas A, B, C, and D stations
  • Floor-specific orientation provided
  • Common patient diagnoses include CVA, TKA, THA, COPD, and geriatric patients with chronic conditions; also Ortho and Neuro patients
  • No holiday shifts required
  • Charting system : Cerner
  • Rehab aides, OTA, and PTA support available
  • Shift Notes : Start time between 0800 and 0900, covering two weekend shifts a month
  • Cancellation policy : The hospital can cancel up to 4 shifts during the 13-week assignment
  • Work attire : Burgundy scrubs
