What You'll Do :

Design and prototype both text- and voice-modality, RAG-driven agentic systems on large language models

Design and develop rigorous frameworks to evaluate models and work with engineering teams to deploy these approaches in production

Monitor model performance in changing real-world conditions

Fine-tune results with testing and using feedback from customers and stakeholders

Go through vast amounts of data and research, implementing a range of ML approaches to categorize it, analyze it, and extract actionable insights

Ongoing thinking and contributions to solve the following :

How do we incrementally build collective knowledge in our agents?

How can we gracefully build judgement in our agents?

How do we mitigate model shortcomings in large scale critical production systems

Manage individual project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables.

Be a full business owner : shape the foundation of the product and business that you work on.

Actively learn new languages, techniques, and methodologies

What We’re Looking For :

Minimum of an undergraduate quantitative degree in applied statistics, analytics, economics, computer science, mathematics or equivalent experience

3+ years of hands-on experience developing AI, econometric, or optimization models with real-world applications

Experience with SQL and BI tools, required

Extremely comfortable writing code, experience with Python preferred

Proven ability to move between technical modeling tasks and product-oriented questions

Precise and concise communication

Ability to organize, prioritize, and adapt in a rapid-growth startup

Insatiable Curiosity, Undying Passion, and Ownership to take on hard real world problems

Candidates must be located in the San Francisco area

Bonus Points For :

Experience building agentic AI applications

Development experience with Open AI, Anthropic, Llama and other leading LLMs; development experience with voice models like Carteisa or ElevenLabs

Master’s, PhD degree, further education, or experience in engineering, computer science or other technical related field

Prior experience in logistics, freight brokerages, shipping and warehouse technologies

Machine learning, operations research and optimization, developing large software systems, logistics and fulfillment industry, pricing algorithms, shipping technology

Rich GitHub or hackathon accolades or other ways you can show that you love to build

Independent Service Oriented Architectures with services composed of :

Node, Typescript, MySQL RDS, SQS, SNS.

React and Redux for UI.
